Craft reference for any text another LLM will read - a one-turn instruction to a subagent, a message that opens a long run, a prompt written into a file or code, a system prompt, a CLAUDE.md, a skill body, a hook. Use BEFORE writing any of them. Every text enters the reader's context at distance zero; what differs is the hold - how many turns after entry it must still be steering the reader. The hold picks the craft, not the kind of file and not the text's length. A one-turn hold wants terse, complete, said-once. A long hold keeps the body terse and hardens only the lines nothing will re-ask - boundaries, the stop condition, constraints that bite late. A whole-session hold against situations the writer cannot see buys redundancy, imagery, and rehearsed temptations. Reading the hold off the text's length or its filename is the known failure.
prompt is an agent skill entry in ChatHome Skills, sourced from GitHub Skill Search and scored 58/100. # Producing this artifact The craft for this medium lives in `references/craft.md`, relative to this skill's base directory. 1. Read `references/craft.md` befor. As an agent skill, it packages a reusable instruction set that AI coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code can load to perform this task without hand-written glue code. ChatHome Skills discovered this entry through its daily ingest of official registries and GitHub discovery queries, and re-verifies repository facts, freshness signals, and install metadata on every run. The quality score weighs official-registry presence, a working install command, license clarity, GitHub star trajectory, and repository freshness — the full formula is on the Sources page. The install command above is ready to copy. Review the last-pushed date and repository status before adding prompt to a production agent workflow; the snapshot facts below are point-in-time values from the most recent ingest.

Scan coverage: Install metadata and the indexed document body.
Automated signals from install metadata and a bounded skill body — not a full code security audit and not a recursive source or dependency review.
