There is no keyless trial: until a license is activated, every licensed tool call returns a license-required error (CLI exit 4). A missing, malformed, tampered, revoked or expired license, or any error while evaluating it, blocks the call - it never falls open. The only allowance is an offline grace window for an already-activated, signed license that cannot reach the license server. The diagnostics chromewalk_doctor, chromewalk_procs, chromewalk_config (show/get), the recovery tool chromewalk_reset (soft), the gap-report tool chromewalk_recommend, the sign-up tools chromewalk_register / chromewalk_activate and the dispatcher built-ins chromewalk_calls / chromewalk_cancel work without a license."
